Focusrite Shipping RedNet PCIeNX Ultra-Low Latency, High-Channel-Count PCIe Dante Interface

Focusrite's RedNet PCIeNX ultra-low latency, high-channel-count PCIe Dante interface is now available, providing a cutting-edge solution for immersive audio formats like Dolby Atmos and other Dante applications that demand high-channel counts. With the capacity for 128x128 audio channels at up to 24-bit/192kHz and ultra-low latency, the RedNet PCIeNX card is compatible with both PC and Mac, including the latest Apple Silicon, seamlessly integrating into existing setups and enhancing any Dante workflow.

The French audio network specialist and equipment manufacturer AuviTran celebrated its 20th anniversary during the JTSE (Journées Techniques du Spectacle et de l'Événement) show held in Paris, November 29-30, 2023. Merging Technologies, the innovative Swiss manufacturer of digital audio solutions, has announced a new software configuration for its Anubis compact AD/DA converter and audio network recording interface. Now, the Anubis receives a Personal Monitor Mixer configuration, or Venue Mission, for musicians and performance applications. Merging also recently launched an interpretation configuration for the Anubis, in collaboration with Sennheiser.

Sennheiser announced the acquisition of Swiss company Merging Technologies - one of the world's leading manufacturers of high-resolution digital audio recording systems and a leading innovator in audio networking technology. According to the announcement, Merging Technologies will be working under the umbrella of the Sennheiser group to enlarge the Neumann range of products. A new Neumann audio recording interface will be the first visible product of the combination.

During NAB 2022, Merging Technologies is showing the most recent Merging+Anubis Commentary Unit Mission, which is the latest set of features that users of the innovative compact AD/DA converter and audio network recording interface will be able to activate. Merging calls its approach to application-oriented software sets "Missions”, and this latest option is set to project Anubis into a whole new market.

Merging Technologies has gained a justifiable reputation for supplying enabling tools for AES67/Ravenna AoIP networks that have more recently been incorporated into the ST2110 standards. The freeware CoreAudio VAD has been downloaded thousands of times and the Linux ALSA driver has found favor with a number of OEMs. Meanwhile, the ASIO driver supplied with Merging interfaces was beginning to show its age and lacked some key features. In response, Merging introduced a new Merging Audio Device (MAD) driver, which totally redefines possibilities and introduces a new enhanced MAD Infrastructure option.
