Sonos Announces New Sonos Radio Streaming Service

Sonos launched Sonos Radio, a free, ad-supported streaming radio service, exclusively available in more than 10 million homes globally that use Sonos hardware. Complementing the 100+ streaming options available on Sonos, the new service introduces a cohesive way to explore radio, with a broad selection of radio available around the world today, bringing together more than 60,000 stations from multiple streaming partners alongside original programming from Sonos.

Rhapsody International Inc., a pioneer in digital music and leading provider of music streaming technologies and services for businesses, announced it has completed a global agreement with MQA, the company delivering authenticated master quality music in a file small enough to stream. Rhapsody’s Powered by Napster platform service now offers partners the option to choose high-resolution and studio-quality audio for those who select MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) as their format of choice.

At CES 2019, Voxtok, the Sound division of entertainment software platform Netgem, will be showing Music Avenue, a fully personalized audio service designed for TV, which operates through the Smart Soundbar of iconic brand Radio Corporation of America (RCA). Combining the two best-selling speaker categories currently in the market, the RCA Smart Soundbar supports Amazon Alexa voice interactions and will be unveiled also at the annual Las Vegas consumer electronics show.
