Listen Releases SoundCheck 20 Audio Test Software Upgrade

The much anticipated SoundCheck 20 audio test software update is now released, and Listen is offering incentives to help users upgrade to the latest version.​​​​​ The motivations to upgrade are many, starting with the fact that SoundCheck 20 introduces Listen’s state-of-the-art perceptual distortion algorithm for end-of-line testing – Enhanced Perceptual Rub & Buzz. SoundCheck 20 also includes a host of new features for multichannel and communications testing.

SoundCheck 19, the new release of Listen's flagship audio test and measurement system, offers powerful advancements for users making multichannel measurements, including a new Multi-channel RTA and WASAPI-exclusive mode. The inclusion of room acoustics measurements offers increased capability for those looking to evaluate devices in real-world situations. The SoundCheck 19 announcement also coincides with the availability of Listen's new high resolution multichannel interface, AmpConnect 621.

miniDSP introduced two new advanced products in its Acoustic Measurement product line, including the UMIK-2, miniDSP's second-generation omnidirectional acoustic measurement microphone, offering a significant upgrade in performance and functionality compared to the popular UMIK-1. And for multichannel measurements, there's the new UMIK-X USB Multichannel microphone array, offering up to 16ch audio recording, A2B wiring, and REW integration.
