Cambridge Mechatronics Announces Ultra-slim, High Precision Rotary Actuator

Cambridge Mechatronics, a leading British company and developer of Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) actuators has developed a new ultra-slim, high precision rotary actuator product. The actuator characteristics include lightweight design, two thousand step positions per revolution and it is completely non-magnetic so it can operate in areas of high magnetic flux that might otherwise exclude conventional motor technologies. With a low profile of around 1mm, it can be used in the most space-constrained applications.

Sound Devices announced the A20-Mini digital wireless microphone transmitter and its companion app, A20-Remote. The A20-Mini is Sound Devices' first miniature transmitter and incorporates state-of-the-art features such as full remote control via the A20-Remote app, GainForward Architecture, internal 32-bit float recording, a worldwide tuning range of 470MHz – 694MHz, and more. The A20-Mini is fully compatible with Sound Devices’ existing A10 Digital Wireless System.

Nordic Semiconductor announced that Tokyo, Japan-based multinational conglomerate, Toshiba Corporation, has selected the 2.48 by 2.46mm wafer level chip scale package (WLCSP) version of Nordic’s nRF52811 Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) System-on-Chip (SoC) to provide the core processing power and wireless connectivity for its ‘Bluetooth module with SASP Technology’.
