Audio-Technica Launches BP3600 Immersive Audio Microphone

A leading innovator in transducer technology, Audio-Technica has been the official microphone supplier for broadcasting coverage of the Olympic Games since 1996. From shotgun to stereo, a large number of Audio-Technica's microphones used in many sports were designed specifically for the Olympics. This time, following multiple seasons of extensive prototype testing of a 8.0 microphone concept for MotoGP motorcycle races, Audio-Technica is now launching the BP3600 Immersive Audio Microphone.

GRAS Sound and Vibration added four new power modules to its existing line, with the introduction of the GRAS 12BE, 12BC, 12BF, and 12BD Microphone Power Modules aimed at engineers who need to power CCP or LEMO measurement microphones and would like seamless integration of microphone sensitivity via TEDS. These new power modules have the ability to take advantage of the latest GRAS SysCheck2-enabled microphones.

German company Microtech Gefell, founded in 1928 by Georg Neumann, offers one of the most complete catalogs of measurement microphones - a completely eco-system for every audio testing need. Once in a while they remember to let us know that new models are being added. This year, the company announced the MMS 212, a rugged measurement microphone combo for harsh environments and the MMS 214 model for very low sound pressure levels. Additionally, the company is now shipping the new MV 240, a measurement microphone preamplifier with an analog-to-digital converter.

Leading French speaker and headphone manufacturer Focal unveiled it’s newest line of three premium headphones; Utopia, Elear and Listen. The result of over 35 years of development and manufacturing of loudspeakers, Focal’s new high-end headphones include the Utopia Reference Open-back headphones, using the first Beryllium driver especially designed for such applications. Other models include the Elear open-back headphones and Listen over-the-ear for the on-the-go user.
