New Features and Updates from Klippel for Speaker Designers and Manufacturers

The specialists in electro-acoustical transducers and audio systems test equipment at Klippel GmbH continue hard at work on updating their range of products, recently expanded with the Klippel Controlled Sound Technology (KCS) and adding on the existing features for the Klippel Analyzer System. Here is a summary of the main things that the company implemented recently, including updates to its dB-Lab software and the QC Software Framework.

Following extensive research, Klippel GmbH has announced its new Klippel Controlled Sound (KCS) technology. This is an integrated approach that leverages the company's software and hardware tools for development, measurement and evaluation of new-generation loudspeaker systems, providing mechanical and thermal protection, automatic system alignment, active compensation of transducer nonlinearities and stabilization of the voice coil rest position. In other words, enabling research towards the speakers of the future.

The July 2019 edition of Voice Coil is now available and loaded with valuable articles, starting with an overview of the new Klippel Controlled Sound (KCS) technology, followed by a detailed article on headphone measurement, and a new backward concept for designing vented enclosures.
