Global Uncertainties and Health Risk Force Cancellation of IFA Berlin 2021

Following other trade show cancelations already announced for the year in Europe, Messe Berlin and gfu Consumer & Home Electronics GmbH have jointly announced that IFA 2021 will not take place in September as a physical live event, as originally planned. The decision was made following detailed conversations with public health experts and multiple stakeholders. The leading trade show for consumer and home electronics will return only in 2022.

The International Funkausstellung (or The International Consumer Electronics Show) in Berlin is probably the most important annual event for the consumer electronics industry, introducing new products in time for the most important season of the year for sales. IFA 2016 featured more than 1,800 exhibitors and attracted 240,000 visitors, with the majority of trade visitors coming from outside Germany. The 2016 floor space was already the larger in the show’s history. Expect the 2017 edition to be even larger!...

IFA 2016 will take place September 2 - 7 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds (Expo Center City).
