Event and Installation Technology Industry Wants To Return to In-Person Trade Events

In October 2020, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), AVIXA, and CEDIA commissioned a study targeting AV professionals to evaluate the industry's appetite for conferences and events following COVID-19. The research, completed before news of a COVID-19 vaccine, was carried out to gauge interest in face-to-face, digital and hybrid event formats. The results show that 98% of the audience missed attending in-person AV industry events.

After a period of consultation with the industry and the impact of the ongoing pandemic, Integrated Systems Events announced that ISE 2021, scheduled for taking place 2-5 February in Barcelona for the first time, has been postponed and will now (possibly) take place June 1-4, alongside a virtual offering. ISE intends to launch RISE Digital, a regular program of content and networking events which will run throughout the year and will support the show, in-person or virtual.

Launched in 2004, ISE is the world’s largest tradeshow for the professional AV and electronic systems industry. ISE 2019 will take place from 5-8 February 2019 and is expected to draw over 1,300 exhibitors and more than 80,000 registered attendees to its Amsterdam RAI location. The Integrated Systems Europe event is a joint venture of AVIXA and CEDIA. Visitor registration is now opened for the biggest-ever ISE show, with increased floor space, an additional venue and an expanded conference program.

A New Integrated Systems Era in Barcelona

Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) is officially moving to Barcelona in 2021. The news was confirmed anticipating a scheduled formal press event to signal the agreement between Integrated Systems Events (the promoter of ISE), the Ajuntament de Barcelona (city council), the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and the Fira de Barcelona. The official presentation ceremony took place at the Barcelona historical Saló de Cent, or the Great Hall of the City Council, on July 19.

Integrated Systems Europe to Relocate to Barcelona in 2021

Integrated Systems Events, the producers of the Integrated Systems Europe exhibition, has announced that its 2021 edition will be held at Gran Via, part of the Fira de Barcelona exhibition complex in Spain on February 2-5. Taking place in Amsterdam until then, the new location will give the exhibition a chance to grow. The new venue will become the permanent location for the world’s largest AV and systems integration show.

The largest and busiest Integrated Systems Europe in its 15-year history drew record numbers of exhibitors and attendees from around the world for four days of business, education and networking at the RAI Amsterdam between 6-9 February. More than 80,000 registered visitors, 15 halls filled with 1,296 exhibitors, many new product introductions and, above all, serious business, contributed to turning ISE 2018 into a record breaking event.
