Three-Day Lecture by Wolfgang Klippel Back in March 2023

After a 3-year break, the popular 3-Day Lecture "Sound Quality of Audio Systems" will be back in March 2023. The three-day event, now titled "Sound Quality of Audio Systems - Modeling, Measurement & Control," combines both theory and practice and will take place March 13-15, 2023, at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany. Registration for the lecture is now open for a fee for general admission and is free for students.

Klippel has released a new software update for the Klippel Analyzer System with various new features for both R&D and QC applications. The most important updates include an improved Time Frequency Analysis (TFA) module, the official release for the QC 3D Spectrogram Limits (3DL) optional module for Quality Control (QC) testing, while adding Impedance (IMP) for T/S parameter testing and Motor + Suspension Check (MSC) tasks, among other features, to the QC Stand-alone software. The update is free of charge for all users running dB-Lab 212 or QC7.

Klippel has been keeping busy in the last months, continuously improving their measurement technology for loudspeakers and audio systems. With the dB-Lab 210.918 and QC 6.7 software updates, Klippel introduced new tools for testing DSP-enhanced speakers, headphones and connected audio systems, first with and hardware add-on for the SCN Scanning Vibrometer, and second with an extension for automatic testing at multiple excitation levels using the TRF module.

The Klippel Analyzer System has received another software update with new features for both R&D and QC applications. The updates are free of charge for any users of dB-Lab major version 210 or QC 6, respectively and provide new relevant tools for output-based testing of contemporary DSP-enhanced speakers, headphones and other audio systems according to the IEC 60268-21 standard.
