xMEMS Announces Montara Plus 2nd Generation High-Sensitivity Solid-State MEMS Drivers for Hi-Res Audiophile-Grade IEMs

xMEMS Labs introduced Montara Plus, its 2nd generation high-res full-range (20Hz to 40KHz) monolithic MEMS micro speaker. At just 64mm3, Montara Plus delivers 120dB SPL at 1kHz. Matching the new Montara Plus, targeting the high end market, xMEMS announced a partnership with iFi Audio and Singularity Audio, which will be launch partners for DAC/amp and IEMs respectively.

The latest iFi Audio GO Link is a compact and simple DAC and headphone amplifier, packing in sophisticated technology that outstrips other USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapters, yet at a super-affordable price. Expanding the brand's GO series of ultraportable DAC/headphone amps, the new GO Link headphone dongle delivers high resolution audio when connected to smartphones, tablets, PCs and Macs via a USB port.

iFi announced a new model to its already extensive range of portable DAC/headphone amps with an all-new design – the Hip-DAC. Looking conveniently like a pocket flask, the new portable device features an extruded aluminum enclosure with a distinct petrol blue finish and a touch of copper, offering an extensive set of specifications to support high resolution audio (HRA) sources, while keeping an affordable price tag at just $149 USD or €159 Euros.
