Audeze announced the release of the CRBN2 electrostatic headphones, advancing the technology used in the original model launched in 2021. According to the company, the new CRBN2 headphones build on the cutting-edge CRBN (pronounced “carbon”) transducers originally developed for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) applications, and now introduce Audeze's patent pending Symmetric Linear Acoustic Modulator (SLAM) technology, which expands the bass response normally missing in electrostatics.

Marantz Launches MODEL 10 Reference Integrated Amplifier

Marantz unveiled its new 10 Series Collection, which consists of three reference-quality high-end audio stereo products, all designed at the renowned Shirakawa Audio Works in Japan. The series will include the Reference SACD 10 player and the LINK 10n Reference Network Audio Player, which will be released later in 2024. For now, Marantz launched the MODEL 10 Reference Integrated Amplifier, which uses Purifi-licensed Class-D technology.

Show - two long-standing regional hifi audio shows - have announced a landmark cooperative venture to promote a new joint effort to take place in Austin, Texas. The new event would be (hopefully tentatively) called T.H.E. Lone Star Audiofest, sponsored by T.H.E. Enterprises, and take place in late spring 2025 (May 2-4), expanding its original scope from local companies and DIY, to attract manufacturers and more distributors.

The RME DPS-2 is a super low noise linear audio power supply with a unique µfilter and sensor technology that adds a wide range of unique and highly useful features such as offering two differently filtered outputs.
