Flip Phones, AI, Naturally Dumb Glasses, and Enhanced Audio: MWC 2024 Major Impressions

Following the announcement that Tymphany partnered with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS) in Germany to provide new state-of-the-art spatial audio solutions to audio manufacturers, Tymphany now confirms that at the CES 2024 show in Las Vegas, the two companies will demonstrate new reference designs for both headphones and speakers. These demonstrations will take place at Suite #26336 of the Venetian.

In anticipation of an exciting showcase planned for CES 2024 - mostly restricted to manufacturers and technology providers interested in exploring the Headphone 3.0 approach - Sonical has confirmed a new strategic partnership. The company headquartered in Silicon Valley is working with Fraunhofer IIS to offer its Cingo binaural rendering and Spatial Audio technology running on Sonical CosmOS, specifically designed for hearables with downloadable plugins.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS), headquartered in Erlangen, Germany, and Tymphany have partnered to provide state-of-the-art spatial audio solutions to audio manufacturers. The two companies have worked together to integrate Fraunhofer's audio processing suites and audio technologies into Flow DSP, Tymphany's own DSP platform and design framework which allows creating immersive audio features in new audio products.

The new BMW 7 Series can be ordered with the BMW Theatre Screen option, featuring Fraunhofer's Cingo technology for realistic headphone playback, turning the car into a personal rolling cinema. The enveloping sound is delivered by the car's integrated surround sound system. If the passengers use headphones, the innovative Fraunhofer Cingo technology ensures uncompromisingly perfect sound for the BMW Rear Seat Entertainment Experience.
