Sennheiser Spectera Introduced to the Americas at Spectrum Management Conference

Sennheiser highlighted its new Spectera Wireless Multichannel Audio Systems (WMAS) system and made a presentation on the future use of the 1.4GHz band for wireless microphone operations during the Americas Spectrum Management Conference that took place in Washington D.C. on October 1-2, 2024. Conference attendees traveled from a wide variety of North, Central, and South American countries.

The White House, in partnership with the National Security Council and the Federal Communications Commission, unveiled full details about their US Cybersecurity Labeling Program for consumer Internet of Things (IoT)-connected devices security. The Connectivity Standards Alliance and Consumer Technology Association are promoting the initiative, which will help consumers shop with confidence by giving them an objective way to find connected devices with a baseline level of security.

Harman International, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, was one of the select few companies recently approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to operate roadside and on-board cellular-vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) technologies within the 5.9GHz band in the United States. Harman's C-V2X solutions are among the most advanced in the industry, and will support building safer roads, relieving traffic congestion, and improving sustainability.
