Austrian Audio Releases OC818 Dual Set Plus for Freely Configurable Stereo Recordings

Austrian Audio announced availability of the OC818 Dual Set Plus, a new kit centered on two of its OC818 large capsule condenser microphones complemented with a host of accessories. The OC818 Dual Set Plus is an ideal solution for stereo recordings, particularly given the unique ability of these microphones to be configured remotely, with users being able to wirelessly control polar patterns and customize all the microphones settings. As an introductory Austrian Audio is offering a free OCR8 Bluetooth dongle with every Dual Set Plus purchase.

Following the company's first public presentation at Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt, Germany, in April 2019, Austrian Audio's first product, the OC818 large diaphragm microphone, was displayed for the first time at the AES NY show courtesy of Cranborne Audio. The new OC818 not only features multiple polar patterns, but also offers innovative remote control possibilities, using the same CKR12 ceramic capsule as the OC18 microphone, which is a fixed cardioid version.
