Exeger and Nordic Semiconductor Launch Powerfoyle Solar Shield for Nordic Thingy:91

Adding a Powerfoyle solar cell membrane to any low-power electronics is a great way to implement energy harvesting capabilities. An add-on Powerfoyle shield for the Nordic Semiconductor’s Thingy:91 enables developers to produce always-on designs in a fast and easy way. With this plug-and-play light energy harvesting innovation, Exeger has significantly expanded the possibilities of the prototyping platform and associated development boards for connected products.

ON Semiconductor has announced two new products that can be used together in USB-C (Type-C) applications while offering benefits in other modern power-oriented applications. The new devices are the FSA4480, a USB Type-C analog audio switch with integrated protection, and the NCS21x series of current sense amplifiers. Ideal for media players, the FSA4480 is a high performance USB Type-C port multimedia switch which supports analog audio headsets, allowing the sharing of a common USB Type-C port to pass USB2.0 signal.
