Radial Launches Nuance Select Studio Monitor Controller

Radial Engineering continues to create products that are unique problem solvers for musicians and studio owners. The company is now shipping its new Nuance Select Studio Monitor Controller featuring a patent pending Clarity Circuit low distortion design. This new monitor controller has a simple but professional-looking surface with a central volume knob and an intuitive layout, offering two monitor and two headphone outputs from only two sources. The big differentiator is the complete transparency of the audio line-level pass-through.

German studio specialist Neumann.Berlin introduced the MA 1, an integrated hard/software tool for monitor alignment, acoustic calibration and room correction, tailor-made for Neumann studio monitors. Calibration algorithms, jointly developed with Fraunhofer IIS, the world’s leading institute for audio signal processing, ensure best possible monitoring quality in any environment – from acoustically untreated bedroom studios to professional control rooms.

Genelec unveiled its new 1235A Smart Active Monitor, which fuses the sound and heritage of the iconic 1035 main studio monitor with high-performance 96 kHz processing and the ability to adapt to any space through its tight integration with Genelec’s GLM calibration software. The 1235A targets large music, film and post-production studios that demand high SPL and neutral, stable imaging that can be perfectly optimized for the room’s unique acoustic environment.

TransAudio Group announced the new Subwoofer Pros Studio Sub 10, an ultra-compact 12" x 14" x 11.5" subwoofer with low distortion, an even frequency response, and an adjustable HF cutoff to work seamlessly with any size nearfield monitor. According to the Las Vegas company, the sealed and self-powered Studio Sub 10 produces high-fidelity bass reproduction down to 16Hz, and it is small enough to place anywhere in the control room in singles or multiples for different output volume and/or room mode taming.

Yamaha introduced its HS-I range of powered speakers, which adds mounting points to the popular HS Series studio monitors, making the range suitable for a significantly broader range of monitoring, sound reinforcement and installation environments. According to Yamaha, the new range was designed in direct response to the use of these popular speakers in commercial environments and events.
