Martin Audio Announces THS Triaxial Point Source Loudspeaker

Capable of 135dB peak SPL, Martin Audio’s latest announcement, THS, is an extremely powerful point source loudspeaker which combines very high output with extended frequency response. This new design using a custom version of the DCX464 Coaxial HF dual-diaphragm compression driver and a 15" woofer, joins the wider TH series from the British manufacturer, and is ideally suited to medium-scale DJ club applications and installations which call for exceptionally high sound levels from a compact, standalone loudspeaker system.

Yamaha has announced new additions to its lineup of professional audio speakers, the powered DHR series and passive CHR series, each with three models optimized to meet the demands of a variety of sound reinforcement applications. Meyer Sound has announced the introduction of the VLFC very low frequency control element, the latest addition to Meyer Sound’s LEO Family of line array systems. VLFC is the first large-scale loudspeaker system specifically engineered to create visceral impact at frequencies below the threshold of hearing. By focusing energy into a narrow band between 30 Hz and 13 Hz, VLFC is uniquely capable of generating extreme variations in air pressure that are sensed by the entire body as compression waves.
