Wi-Fi Alliance Celebrates 25 Years of Wi-Fi Innovation and Impact

One of technology's greatest success stories celebrates a quarter century. 2024 marks a significant milestone in the history of technological innovation as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of Wi-Fi. The technology that enabled wireless networking and still leads in comparison with any other wireless topology and technology, Wi-Fi is today an essential component of home entertainment, ready to evolve to new heights.

Avid partnered with Dolby to deliver its new “Pro Tools Dolby Atmos Production” course and certification, consisting of 12 hours of instructor-led training in addition to 40 hours of self-learning. The course is designed to deepen knowledge and skills for creators mixing Dolby Atmos tracks in Avid Pro Tools workflows, and is the newest build amongst Avid’s global certificate and training infrastructure.

The Wi-Fi Alliance announced that its Wi-Fi Easy Connect and Wi-Fi EasyMesh solutions will evolve to drive superior home network experiences. Wi-Fi Certified Easy Connect and Wi-Fi Certified EasyMesh now deliver more secure, smart, and efficient Wi-Fi home networks. New features available for Wi-Fi Easy Connect now enable zero touch, secure provisioning of devices onto home networks, while additions to Wi-Fi EasyMesh increase Wi-Fi network capacity, support more simultaneous services, and deliver end-to-end service prioritization.
