API Announces MC531 Monitor Controller with USB and Bluetooth

Automated Processes Inc., better known as API in the professional audio industry and in particular the recording studio world, introduced the new MC531 Monitor Controller. The new product builds on the company's heritage of manufacturing the highest quality mixing and recording consoles and was "designed" to look unmistakably API. The MC531 is clearly meant to be "a truck," not a lifestyle product. Expect quality from the circuits and the sound, don't look too close on the rough details of the chassis.

Targeting project studios and musicians, Automated Processes Inc., unveiled a new line of professional audio equipment, called API Select. Still designed, built and tested at the API factory in Jessup Maryland, the new API Select range is specifically engineered to complement API's classic mix of microphone preamplifiers, equalizers and compressors, and adds some tube-based designs and guitar-pedal form-factors, which are new to the brand.

Plugin Alliance announced availability of the new Lindell Audio 50 Series software plugin, that transforms Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) into an analog mixing console by capturing the legendary sound of original API circuits as a dual console channel strip and bus path. The software plugin was created using the patented Tolerance Modeling Technology (TMT) licensed from Brainworx, creating what Plugin Alliance describes as "the most convincing model of these classic consoles to date."
