Audio Precision Updates APx500 Measurement Software to Version 8.0

Audio Precision released version 8.0 of its APx500 Measurement Software. Significant test time savings and much faster reporting of important measurements are the key features of this upgrade, which also adds an improved Bose SoneTrac method for Rub & Buzz measurements. Version 8.0 features software performance optimizations that reduce unnecessary computation and speed up sequence execution. This results in much faster reporting of important measurements such as THD+N.

Audio Precision released the latest update to its APx500 audio measurement software, version 7.0, adding new enhancements suited to a wide range of audio test applications, whether analog, digital, or acoustic. In parallel with release 7.0, Audio Precision is also introducing APx500 software subscriptions, offering APx users an alternative in how they license APx software, and access nearly any software version and option.

Danish measurement microphone specialists GRAS Sound & Vibration, now a part of Axiometrix Solutions, announced two new microphones with SysCheck2 functionality allowing for remote-controlled health check of an entire measurement chain. The new microphones are the GRAS 246AE 1/2" CCP Free-field Standard SysCheck2 Microphone Set, and the GRAS 246AO 1/2" CCP Pressure Standard SysCheck2 Microphone Set, both featuring self-verification.

Audio Precision released the APx500 audio measurement software, version 6.1. With this update, AP is adding new measurement results, options, and test signals for production test of loudspeakers, headphone drivers, and microphones. Most importantly for speaker designers and manufacturers the new APx software now offers the broadest set of methodologies available for detecting rub and buzz defects.

Audio Precision unveiled its new APx500 Flex audio analyzer, a completely new class of test and measurement solutions designed to support the use of APx audio measurement software with ASIO-capable third-party audio interfaces or sound cards. With the introduction of APx500 Flex, manufacturers can cost-effectively deploy the measurement capabilities, flexibility and quality of APx software to their production lines at a much lower price.
