The Consumer Technology Association (CTA), inducted 14 visionaries into the Consumer Technology (CT) Hall of Fame at its annual awards dinner, held November 7, at Capitale in New York City. CTA created the Hall of Fame in 2000 to honor consumer technology industry pioneers and entrepreneurs. This year’s inductees included John Briesch, who led Sony's launch of the CD; Edgar Villchur, inventor of the acoustic suspension speaker and independent suspension turntable and co-founder of Acoustic Research; and Kathy Gornik and Jim Thiel, founders of Thiel Audio; among others.

THIEL Audio is celebrating its return to CES with the announcement of a host of new products and services releasing in 2017, showcasing 18 new products at CES 2017. Among these new products THIEL is entering the Wireless Streaming market with the introduction of their new AURORA LifeStream Home and the battery powered AURORA LifeStream Tour models, both featuring a connectivity suite leveraging DTS Play-Fi, Apple Airplay, and Bluetooth technologies.

At CES 2016, Thiel Audio will introduce a new SmartSub using a proprietary long excursion 12-inch driver and DSP-controlled 1250 watt amplifier, which works with a sophisticated control app and advanced DSP room correction. The SmartSub 1.12 powered subwoofer features six user-accessible Sound Mode Presets to adjust it for any style of music, movies and even gaming content.

Thiel Audio Introduced the TT1 three-way Loudspeaker at the 2015 CES Show. The TT1, together with the previously introduced bookshelf TM3, is part of the company’s new 3rd Avenue Collection and the first Thiel Audio speaker to be assembled in its new Nashville facility. It represents a novel approach to design and manufacturing, in line with the company’s long-term vision for the high-end brand.
