Oceanway Audio to Demonstrate AeroWave Large-Venue Sound System Technology at NAMM 2023

Burbank-based Oceanway Audio, led by legendary audio innovator and multiple GRAMMY award-winner Allen Sides, will be hosting live demonstrations of its new AeroWave AW-9045 large-venue sound system technology at the NAMM 2023 exhibition. The AeroWave system is able to distribute 90 degrees of audio in both the horizontal and vertical directions, delivering a direct, high-quality stereo signal to every seat in the house with minimal boundary reflections.

Allen Sides' Ocean Way Audio announced its new Pro3 monitor (nicknamed 'Fat Boy'), the latest addition to the company's high-resolution monitor line. The new two-way active monitor system is its most compact design and delivers a frequency response of 45Hz to 20kHz and 110 dB maximum SPL between channels. A nearfield monitor designed for project and commercial recording studios, as well as in professional broadcast and post facilities where optimal performance is required, and space is at a premium.

At the 141st AES Convention in Los Angeles, CA, Ocean Way Audio (OWA) proved why they claim to be a “leading manufacturer of high-resolution reference monitors for the professional audio and audiophile market sectors”, and unveiled the new HiRes3.5 Studio Reference Monitor, also known as HR3.5.

Recently I attended the excellent, The Home Entertainment (T.H.E.) Show in Newport, CA. Celebrating its 6th anniversary, and still mourning the tragic loss of its president and founder, Richard Beers, T.H.E. Show Newport exceeded its own 2015 attendance figures, with more than 10,000 attendees. I left with excellent memories of a wonderful organization, a very pleasant location (Irvine), and the motivation to return. Some excellent systems left me with enduring impressions that I thought fit to share in this space.
