DPA Microphones Expansion in The UK and Germany

DPA Microphones announced that it has acquired Sound Network, its UK pro audio distributor with whom it has had a close relationship for more than 20 years. By investing in its valued partner, the Danish company secures its position as a key player in the British market. At the same time, DPA announced the decision to establish a dedicated German sales force, which will allow the brand to get closer to Europe's largest market.

With effect from 1 June 2017, the Administrative Board of beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG has named Dutchman Edgar van Velzen (51) as the company’s new managing director and CEO. Together with Wolfgang Luckhardt (57), long-standing managing director, he is now at the helm of the Heilbronn-based, German audio specialist. Most recently, van Velzen was CEO of Teufel GmbH in Berlin.

Europe’s dedicated headphones and accessories show returns in September at a new location. CanJam Europe will be held at the Congress Center Essen, Germany, September 20th and 21st 2014. The second European CanJam is a meeting for headphones friends, music lovers, professional studio users and trade visitors.
