NUGEN Audio Celebrates 20th Anniversary

NUGEN Audio is celebrating 20 years of providing top-of-the-line audio editing plug-ins to audio professionals around the world. The Leeds, UK-based company founded by an acclaimed DJ/EDM producer and the lead programmer of a top UK game development company, first launched with stereo-image-related plug-ins for music production. Today, the brand has expanded to include loudness metering/correction, mixing/mastering, tracking and audio analysis tools that are used by some of the world’s top names in post-production, broadcast and music.

NUGEN Audio unveiled an all-new option for Halo Upmix, the company’s solution for upmixing stereo audio to surround. The 9.1 option allows the introduction of vertical positioning into the upmix, generating a 7.1.2 (Dolby Atmos) bed track-compatible upmix. During the 2016 NAB Show, NUGEN also introduced updates to the company’s batch processing, offline loudness tools, metering and music production tools.

Nugen Audio announced a new release of its Loudness Toolkit, an industry-leading NLE/DAW editor-cased loudness and correction solution, with upgrades to the integrated VisLM, LM-Correct, and ISL tools, including powerful new workflow enhancements and a new DynApt Dynamic Adaptation extension for LM-Correct.
