RME Unveils New DPS-2 Power Supply and LNI-2 DC Filter and Stabilizer

German audio interface specialists RME Audio, announced two new solutions designed to improve the performance of its ADI-2 series of converters in critical applications. The RME DPS-2 is a super low noise linear audio power supply with a unique µfilter and sensor technology that adds a wide range of unique and highly useful features such as offering two differently filtered outputs. The second product is the LNI-2 DC, an active DC filter with galvanic isolation.

Microchip announced a new reference design using its MCP1012 high voltage auxiliary AC-DC controller, demonstrating the ability to remove the independent bias power supply in many applications. The MCP1012 offline auxiliary device enables the system to transfer control of the power and duty cycle to a secondary MCU. The reference design includes a patented isolation technique called Inde-Flux transformer technology being licensed to Würth Elektronik eiSos.

Texas Instruments (TI) introduced a new inductor-inductor-capacitor (LLC) resonant controller with an integrated high-voltage gate driver that enables the industry's lowest standby power, as well as longer system lifetimes. The UCC256301 provides a cost-effective system solution that helps meet stringent energy-efficiency standards for a wide range of AC/DC applications in consumer electronics.

Tektronix unveiled its innovative Keithley 2281S Battery Simulator/precision DC Power supply to shorten design and test cycles for mobile devices. The new battery simulator from Tektronix uses a battery model that includes state of charge, amp-hour capacity, equivalent series resistance, and open circuit voltage.
