Technics Releases New Premium True Wireless Earbuds Designed for Work and Play

September 28 2021, 15:00
Technics announced the new EAH-AZ60 and EAH-AZ40 true wireless earbuds, both equipped with JustMyVoice technology which provides improved clear voice communication during calls. The EAH-AZ60 model features a larger 8mm dynamic driver and LDAC support, using a total of eight mics on the left and right to power Dual Hybrid Noise Cancelling Technology, combining feedforward (FF) and feedback (FB) methods, as well as digital and analog processing for best-in-class ANC.

Allowing users to feel confident to face a conference call or listening to their favorite music, Technics’s newest Bluetooth 5.2 true wireless earbuds — the EAH-AZ60 and the EAH-AZ40 — offer premium audio quality and advanced technologies, designed to provide a superior listening experience.

When many people started working from home in 2020, kitchens, dining rooms and bedrooms evolved into offices for the first time. Users' needs and demands changed when an altered environment posed new challenges such as kids, pets and household noises competing for attention and impacting the ability to focus and be heard on meetings and conference calls. To address the need for distraction-proof sound, Technics implemented JustMyVoice Technology to its EAH-AZ60 and EAH-AZ40 true wireless headphones.

This special voice detection technology combines the built-in microphones and software to detect voices when speaking, while the two MEMS mics actively capture the sound and reduce surrounding noise with beamforming technology for a clear call, even in the noisiest environments. Both models also offer extended playback time - 7.5 hours using AAC - and quick charge.

The EAH-AZ60 model features a total of eight mics on the left and right, supporting more comfortable, natural conversation over the phone. And with industry-leading noise cancellation technology implemented by Soundchip - the company that is now part of DSP Group and Synaptics - combined with high-resolution audio quality support thanks to Sony's LDAC Bluetooth codec technology, the Technics EAH-AZ60 true wireless earbuds are a new reference for the Japanese brand.

Because each listening experience is unique, Technics also equipped its new earbuds with two ambient sound modes, “Natural” and “Attention,” to give listeners control over how much background noise they can hear. The Natural Mode captures all surrounding noise, while Attention Mode only captures sounds in the human voice frequency range. When the virtual meetings and conference calls are over, the Technics EAH-AZ60 can be easily used for recreation with wind noise reduction and IPX4 Water Resistance finish.

“Our team of engineers has brought more than 55 years of sound engineering expertise to these new headphones. We are excited to add the EAH-AZ60 and EAH-AZ40 true wireless headphones to our suite of premium audio products,” says Ellison Ferdinand, Technics United States Product Manager. “As we’ve all adapted to new work and life routines, we hope that these headphones will help us focus on what matters most."

The two new TWS models will be available October 2021. The EAH-AZ60 (SRP: $199.99) will be available in silver and black, and the EAH-AZ40 (SRP: $129.99) will be available in silver, black and rose gold.

Technics introduced its first pair of headphones in 1996 and the company entered the true wireless segment only in 2020. The company anticipates the release of the new Technics EAH-A800 overhead wireless headphones in early 2022.
