April 26 2018, 01:30
PreSonus is shipping its new HD9 headphones, designed for studio use, as powerful and articulate studio monitors. The new headphones feature a closed-back acoustic design that provides superior listening isolation and reduces headphone bleed, so users hear nothing but music. The HD9’s 45 mm dynamic, neodymium drivers and high power handling (900 mW per channel into 40Ω) deliver loud, clean audio, minimizing listening fatigue. Its tailored frequency response extends all the way from 10 Hz to 26 kHz (±3 dB), with accurate bass response.

As PreSonus highlights, more people are choosing portable, personal listening solutions nowadays, recording on location and checking the mix on high-quality headphones as well as finely calibrated studio monitors. With the closed-back PreSonus HD9s, users will be able to mix, while the superior listening isolation also reduces headphone bleed on performing and recording situations. The new professional headphones were also optimized for comfort, and adjustability.

Lightweight, the new PreSonus HD9 features an adjustable headband, cups that rotate 180° on two axes, and comfortable, durable ear pads. The straight, ten-foot cable drops down one side so it doesn’t get in the way. The result is a comfortable listening experience during long sessions. And the HD9 is also built for touring and traveling. It comes complete with a gold-plated, 1/8 inch-to-¼ inch adapter and a storage bag.

PreSonus HD9s are available immediately at an anticipated street price of $79.95.
