The DR-10L is an incredibly convenient digital recorder/lavalier microphone combo that delivers Tascam’s recognized audio quality in a tiny, easily concealed package that eliminates the uncertainties of wireless microphone systems. Featuring a professional-quality lavalier microphone and ultra-compact body pack, the DR-10L captures crystal-clear 48kHz/24-bit Broadcast WAV files to tiny microSD or microSDHC cards, powering through up to ten hours of recording on a single AAA battery.
The compact unit can be clipped easily on a belt or inside pocket and it will record from the lapel microphone, providing the confidence that we will capture every sound, even if the person strays off camera or out of wireless range. Like its siblings, the DR-10X plug-on ENG recorder and the DR-10SG shotgun mic recorder, the DR-10L is a professional unit, including a built-in limiter to prevent distortion, low-cut filter to reduce wind and rumble noise, and a bright OLED display that’s easily readable even in direct sunlight. And it features Tascam’s Dual Recording mode that captures a lower level safety track to safeguard against unexpected source level spikes.

For added flexibility, the included wired lavalier microphone is affixed via a 1/8” screw-down lock connector compatible with most Sennheiser lavalier microphones and those using the same connector. Ideal for location recording, a DR-10L can be mounted to each on camera actor, and is perfect for live events, to ensure that every last word is captured. The DR-10L is expected to ship in late October 2016 and has a street price of $199.99.
