February 19 2020, 00:55
House of Marley launched a greener alternative to existing true wireless earbuds and the second generation TWS design from the brand, now adding active noise cancellation (ANC). The new Redemption ANC are also being released to commemorate Bob Marley’s 75th Birthday and House of Marley’s 10th anniversary. A follow up to Marley's Liberate Air earbuds, the new Redemption ANC are similar in their use of eco-conscious materials which includes bamboo, natural wood fiber composite from sawdust and recycled silicone. And they look great.

This is a truly a step up for House of Marley. The brand's flagship Redemption ANC true wireless Bluetooth 5.0 earbuds, signal the 10th anniversary of the sustainably minded manufacturer, offering a powerful combination of design, technology and lifestyle appeal. Integrating active noise cancellation technology with earth-friendly materials, House of Marley is providing "the first sustainably-minded ANC true wireless earbuds," as the brand calls it.

As with previous products from the brand, the new earbuds are crafted using highly-renewable bamboo and recycled REGRIND silicone from post-consumer waste, while the case is designed by combining wood derivatives such as sawdust along with plastic fibers to form a durable, wood fiber composite. There are four microphones to support clear voice communications in stereo and the whole design is weather-resistant and IPX4 rated for sweat-proof, featuring touch controls to play, pause, change music, take calls and more.

The sound features on the Redemption ANC, according to House of Marley, include "a deeper, punchier bass with a warm and rich, natural feel." The passive seal combined with leading active noise canceling technology ensures unwanted sounds are kept at bay. For a more natural listening experience, users simply need to triple-tap the earbuds to switch into ambient mode to allow for transparent hearing of their surroundings.

Building from their first truly wireless earbuds release, Liberate Air, the Redemption ANC offers stable, consistent performance for those looking for active noise cancellation with a customizable stem design for all-day comfort. The weight is balanced between the stem and the body to help anchor and keep the earbud secure in the ear, making them an easy choice for everyday wear from travel to active use.

The new true wireless model is able to offer up to 5-hour battery life, and up to 20 hours total with Active noise cancellation on, or with ANC and ambient mode on (even longer with ANC off - up to 7-hour on board battery life and 28 hours total with case). The case offers USB-C quick charge technology, with 2 hours of playtime resulting from just 15 minutes charging.

The new House of Marley Redemption ANC EM-DE021 retail for just $199.99 MAP and are available now.

2020 marks Bob Marley’s 75th Birthday and to honor its namesake, House of Marley is expanding their commitment to the environment through contributions and activations with non-profit organizations One Tree Planted and Surfrider Foundation. The company will continue to support One Tree Planted global reforestation efforts, planting 75,000 trees in Ethiopia and Jamaica in honor of Bob Marley’s 75th Birthday.
