Focal Announces Kanta No2 Loudspeakers with New Color Finishes

Like many other audio manufacturers that haven't had any chance to attend trade-shows or promote events, Focal has been quiet for the past months, while recognizing that home audio in all segments is clearly a growth product category in these shelter-at-home times. Understanding the need to continue to offer more options for consumer's interiors and styles, Focal launched two new stunning finishes for the Kanta No2 floor-standing speakers, with no price premium over the existing models, at $4995.00 each.

Handcrafted in France, the Kanta No2 is one of Focal’s most popular loudspeakers. So the award-winning design can suit even more home interiors, Focal has launched the new Carrara White and Black Lacquer/Walnut color schemes. Ideal for minimalist modern interiors, the new Kanta No2 in Carrara White is a slim, elegant design. It will replace the white front/black cabinet finish in the existing range.
Meanwhile, the new Kanta No2 in Black Lacquer/Walnut brings a glossy option to Focal’s existing line-up of Matte walnut finishes. The Black Lacquer front panel combines beautifully with the walnut cabinet’s high-gloss varnish to create a stylish, sophisticated design that will suit both contemporary and traditional interiors.

These new finishes wrap around a three-way floor-standing loudspeaker totally dedicated to performance. Kanta No2 uses a unique combination of a new-generation IAL tweeter – featuring an inverted Beryllium dome – and Flax sandwich cone speaker drivers. (The Flax for the drivers grows locally to Focal in France.) The result is a precise, detailed and involving sound, plus the flexibility to suit both smaller rooms and larger spaces.
The two new Kanta No2 models are available to order now from Focal’s network of specialist retailers, with no suggested price premium over the existing models. The new color schemes will also expand to the rest of the speaker Kanta range by 2021.
