Bluesound, the manufacturer of high-resolution audio wireless multiroom products, expanded its already comprehensive range with the HUB, a network accessory that allows connecting a variety of analog and digital audio sources to the Bluesound ecosystem for multiroom streaming. This simple BluOS device easily adds any audio source and transmits music wirelessly to one or many Bluesound players around the home.
Streaming audio is more flexible than ever with the Bluesound HUB. Audio sources like a turntable or CD player instantly become network-connected and are new sources from which a Bluesound system can play music. The HUB even unlocks the possibility to stream vinyl wirelessly for the first time.
From TVs to CD players, turntables to the latest gadgets, the Bluesound HUB offers a wide range of inputs on the back panel, including HDMI eARC, SPDIF coaxial and optical, stereo analog, and a moving magnet phono stage. Each HUB manages one networked- audio source, and up to four (4) HUBs can be added to a single network.
And because it runs BluOS, the Bluesound HUB makes adding audio sources simple with the BluOS Controller app setup wizard. With just a few taps on the familiar BluOS app controls, users can quickly configure a whole multiroom system from a smartphone, tablet or computer.
On the design side, Bluesound intended the HUB to be a discreet device without being just another black box. Inside, it is powered by a powerful ARM Cortex A53 processor and its module offers dual-band Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity to cover the best possible integration. It is powered from any external USB-C power supply, and with 1U rack height, and 1/3rd rack width, the HUB can easily be placed on technical cabinets when required, placed on shelves, behind TVs, or mounted with four different orientation options using its two keyhole mounting slots.
With this new product, Bluesound expands its ecosystem with infinite possibilities, including offering music fans the possibility to listen to vinyl. The Bluesound was designed with a high-quality, low noise, and wide-bandwidth MM phono stage preamp that matches perfectly with the high-resolution audio streaming system, after the built-in analog to digital converter. A surprising experience, allowing a turntable to play music to a whole-home music system and no longer restricted to a single room.
Retail availability of the Bluesound HUB is expected in mid-June 2022 and is priced at USD $319 or EUR €349.
