RIVA, the lifestyle brand of Audio Design Experts, Inc. (ADX), out of Fountain Valley, CA, was nominated for the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Innovations Design and Engineering Awards with the Turbo X advanced Bluetooth mobile speaker. One year later and with updated features, including longer battery life, the Turbo X makes it to market just before another CES opens in Las Vegas, NV.
RIVAannounced that its first Bluetooth mobile speaker, the Turbo X, is available for purchase. Named a 2014 CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards Honoree, the Turbo X is described as “a premium Bluetooth mobile speaker that delivers best-in-class Bluetooth audio with sophisticated design that perfectly complements the modern lifestyle.”
ADX developed the RIVA lifestyle brand one year ago. The ADX team combines world class design and engineering teams based in California and China, including famous British tour promoter, producer and audio engineer, Thomas “Rikki” Farr, as Chairman and Chief Creative Officer; Donald North, President and Chief Engineer, with more than 18 years of professional experience in the audio industry; Dennis Barnes, VP of Acoustics Engineering, with more than 30 years of audio industry experience; and Eric Pang, Director Transducer Engineering, overseeing ADX’s China office.
Powered by ADX’s proprietary Trillium technology, the Turbo X is able to generate immersive sound and features a surround sound mode with special EQ presets that dynamically enhances movies and video games. “Our team is excited to bring back the truthful purity of music with the launch of the Turbo X,” says Thomas “Rikki” Farr. “The Turbo X is the first of many products that will be brought to market by RIVA that deliver amazing, dynamic and powerful music to a generation that is currently listening to a diluted, over-processed reproduction of what was supreme in its creation.”
The Turbo X is made up of three 60-mm full-range custom ADX drivers, packed with 45-W RMS of power and has an impressive 26+ hour battery playing time. It also includes unique features such as a speakerphone with noise and echo cancellation processing technology and a Charge Out for phones, tablets or wearable devices. The TURBO EQ boost mode promises to “fill a room with powerful sound,” up to 100 dB.
The RIVA Ground Control mobile app allows for control of the entire listening experience from a phone or tablet. Available for iOS or Android, the Ground Control app can be downloaded for free. The Turbo X is available now in the U.S. for $349.99. Color options include black or white with silver.
