R-15PM Powered Monitors
Making their CES debut, and designed with power, performance and simplicity in mind, the new R-15PM powered monitors cater to the way people access and listen to music while maintaining the core Klipsch design and acoustic principles. The Klipsch Reference Premiere R-15PM powered monitors were designed for simple set up in minutes to a turntable, television, computer or wireless device. Its integrated phono pre-amp, Bluetooth wireless technology, digital optical, analog RCA and USB audio inputs make it a versatile audio solution. Klipsch will also offer a retro-designed pair of bookshelf speakers that are inspired by the Heritage series and equipped with the same technology feature set as the R-15PM.

The Klipsch Reference R-15PM powered monitors are a part of the brand’s Reference series and feature the same sonic sound signature. The monitors also incorporate individual, ultra-low noise amplifiers custom designed to maximize system performance and eliminate the need for an A/V receiver. The speakers offer a wired sub output to further enhance the speakers’ low frequency. The R-15PM’s dedicated IR remote allows easy access to system features such as dedicated source selection, track controls and play/pause options.

As with the all Reference loudspeakers, the R-15PM powered monitors feature proprietary 90°x90° Hybrid Tractrix Horn technology coupled with Linear Travel Suspension (“LTS”) titanium tweeters to produce the most effective release of sound waves for clean, natural listening experiences. The LTS tweeters ensure minimized distortion for enhanced, detailed performance.

Providing remarkable low-frequency response with minimal cone breakup or distortion are the speakers’ copper-spun IMG woofers. The woofers are coupled with ceramic motor structures — a design that when paired with Tractrix Horn-loaded LTS tweeters combines for the highest speaker efficiency in its class. Unique materials have been applied in the ongoing pursuit of ultra-low distortion design. The horn’s outer layer is silicon-based rubber, which eliminates resonance of the horn housing, improving detail and resolution.

The Klipsch Reference RP-15PM powered monitors (US MSRP $499/pair) will be available to purchase already in January 2016.
