AudioControl Adds New Volume Control Functions To Director Series Network Amplifiers
AudioControl announced the addition of new volume control functions to its multi-channel network amplifiers, The Director Model D3400 and D4400. Both models now have the ability to increase and decrease volume levels incrementally in each zone, set volume level on a per group basis and set a default “Maximum On Volume” function, expanding the application potential of The Director series considerably.

CEA and Japan Audio Society to Collaborate on Hi-Res Audio Promotions
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) and the Japan Audio Society (JAS) agree to provide the High-Resolution Audio logo (Hi-Res Audio or HRA) to CEA members and promote it to consumers. “Having a common logo will help establish consistency and assist consumers in navigating this exciting, steadily emerging market,” says Gary Shapiro, CEA president and CEO.

Audinate announced new releases to its Dante Virtual Soundcard as well as Dante Controller. Both releases support the latest Apple Mac OS X10.10 Yosemite and Microsoft Windows 8.1 operating systems. The Dante Virtual Soundcard Release 3.7 now supports more sample rates and increases WDM channels. In addition, Dante Virtual Soundcard will report latency stats, late packet stats and signal presence indicators via the latest release of Dante Controller.
