PCB Piezotronics expanded its microphone preamplifier family with the introduction of a new 1/2” short preamplifier. TIDAL High Fidelity Music Streaming Service Continues Rapid Expansion Preparing Launch in 22 New Countries
TIDAL, the Norwegian High Fidelity lossless music streaming service with HD music videos and curated editorial, announced it will launch its service in 22 new countries during the first quarter of 2015. The company also confirmed twelve home audio integration partners are already live with TIDAL, namely, Sonos, Bluesound, Linn, Simple Audio, Auralic, Mirage, Squeezebox, Amarra sQ, Mcintosh, Wadia, Electrocompaniet and Meridian.

Optocore Network Demonstration at ISE 2015
Optocore has created an elaborate fibre network for ISE 2015, connecting audio, video and intercom across multiple booths via a DiGiCo-Optocore/BroaMan network. The network ring starts with three connected DiGiCo consoles and continues to the Martin Audio booth, Allen & Heath’s booth, Renkus-Heinz and on the Powersoft booth and finally, on the Optocore booth itself.

Intel Acquires Lantiq to Expand Into the Connected Home
Intel Corporation has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Lantiq. Based in Munich, Germany, Lantiq offers a broad semiconductor product portfolio for next-generation networks and the digital home. The transaction reinforces Intel’s position with broadband network technologies in the home gateway business, telecom residential gateway and access network markets, where Lantiq is a leading provider.
