The 35th NAMM TEC Awards Announces Call for Entries
Fresh off a multitude of pro audio product debuts, new innovations and a celebration of technical and creative achievements, the NAMM TEC Awards council has announced a call for entries to be honored at The 35th annual NAMM TEC Awards. Companies are encouraged to enter their products and/or projects in one of 23 Technical Achievement and eight Creative Achievement categories to be considered for recognition.
Cadence Announces Industry’s First Verification IP for USB4
Cadence Design Systems announced the availability of the industry’s first Verification IP (VIP) in support of the recently announced USB4 standard. The Cadence VIP for USB4 enables engineers to develop standard-compliant system-on-chip (SoC) designs, completing functional verification of the design with less effort and greater assurance that the SoC will operate as expected, enabling early adoption of the next-generation USB standard protocol.

DSP Concepts Announces TalkTo Microphone Processing Technology for Voice-Controlled Products
DSP Concepts has launched TalkTo, a new brand and a major expansion of its voice recognition technologies. TalkTo is a family of software-based Audio Front Ends for voice-controlled products. It uses advanced microphone processing and machine learning techniques to deliver highly reliable voice control, even in high-noise environments and with multichannel audio products. According to the company, TakTo will enable voice interfaces even in the most difficult classes of products, like TVs and soundbars.

Dialog Semiconductor announced that its audio and Configurable Mixed Signal ICs (CMICs) have been adopted by Huawei for their Honor FlyPods, the company’s latest True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds. Five Dialog ICs provide voice control and power to Huawei’s recently announced TWS earbuds. A Dialog’s SmartBeat DA14195 System-on-Chip (SoC) is integrated into each FlyPod earbud and is connected to a pair of Voice Pick Up (VPU) sensors.
