Audio-Technica ES954 Quad-Capsule Steerable Microphone Array for Conference Rooms and Meeting Spaces
Audio-Technica introduced the ES954 Hanging Microphone Array, an ideal, cost-effective solution for huddle rooms, conference rooms and other meeting spaces. When controlled by the Audio-Technica ATDM-0604 Digital SmartMixer, the four-capsule microphone array provides 360-degree coverage through virtual hypercardioid or cardioid outputs that can be steered horizontally and tilted vertically. An high-output design with low self-noise delivers strong, natural-sounding vocal reproduction.
Genelec Showcases New S360 High SPL Loudspeaker at ISE 2019
Genelec is expanding its expertise and global recognition in professional studio monitoring also into residential and commercial installations. But now the Finish company introduced a new loudspeaker that takes it even further, to the realms of sound reinforcement in venues and clubs. At ISE 2019, the company introduced the new high SPL S360 smart active loudspeaker, which the company says can be “a formidable contender for any installation environment where the emphasis is placed on premium quality, high SPL vocal and music reproduction in a compact form factor.”
Movers and Shakers: Powersoft Debuts New Powerful Linear Motors at ISE 2019
Since it introduced its M-Force linear motor technology, Powersoft paved the way for a completely new range of applications for low frequency transducers. This in turn attracted companies with interesting ideas and projects, leading the Italian company to expand the research. One result was now introduced at the ISE 2019 show in Amsterdam, with the first public demonstration of Mover - a small yet incredibly powerful linear transducer that can be used in audio applications and, more excitingly, as a linear motor / shaker.

QSC Introduces CX-Q Series Network Amplifiers for the Q-SYS Ecosystem
QSC announced new network power amplifiers for its expanding Q-SYS networked ecosystem at the ISE 2019 show. The CX-Q Series audio amplifiers feature four- and eight-channel models that combine the QSC legacy of high-performance and reliable amplifier design with the native network transport, control and monitoring capabilities of the Q-SYS Ecosystem. QSC also announced a partnership with Audinate to develop cross-platform networked technology between QSC solutions and Audinate licensed products.

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced a new documentary-style video series to promote High-Resolution Audio (Hi-Res Audio or HRA) as an emerging audio technology platform. The series of video features testimonies from eight renowned artists and producers including Bruce Botnick, Kenny Aronoff, Paul Oakenfold, or Skylar Grey. The series also pays special tribute to The Beatles’ Recording Engineer, Geoff Emerick with an extended cut version of his interview for the series.
