RØDE Introduces the RØDELink Digital Wireless System, New Ribbon and New Shotgun Microphones

Australian audio company RØDE Microphones has held the largest simultaneous product launch in the company’s history, introducing multiple new products and categories at an exclusive event in San Diego, USA. RØDE introduced the NTR studio ribbon microphone, two innovative shotgun microphones and the RØDELink Digital Wireless System which finally allows the brand to enter the category.

Announced in September 2014, Sennheiser now confirms the availability of its Dante card for the EM 9046 receiver, enabling the top-of-the-range Digital 9000 wireless microphone system to be integrated into Dante audio-over-IP networks. Sennheiser also updated its Digital 9000 firmware and the new Wireless Systems Manager 4.2 software with a set of optimized monitoring functions.

According to a new market research report “Wireless Audio Device Market By Products, Technology and Application - Global Forecast & Analysis 2013 – 2018” published by MarketsandMarkets, the total market is expected to generate revenues of $13.75 billion by 2018, growing at an estimated CAGR of 24.02% from 2013-2018.

In light of the pending spectrum auction, Sennheiser says the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) should retain two blocks of clean UHF for hypercritical mics and ear monitors, and mic owners should receive compensation as a result of spectrum repacking. The company encourages microphone owners to write to the FCC before November 12th, 2014, and is offering to help with any filing or procedural requirements.
