Sonical Launches CosmOS Certified Technology Program for Next-Gen Hearable Devices

Sonical launched its CosmOS Certified program — an initiative set to drive the hearables market to the next stage of user defined devices. As a pioneering force behind the industry first dedicated operating system for hearables, Sonical wants to foster an ecosystem for customizable and personalized audio and health products. CosmOS Certified validates the software and hardware that makes that vision possible.

HearAngel (a LimitEar company) and Sonical announced a software licensing agreement to integrate the HearAngel smart hearing safeguarding solution into Sonical's CosmOS operating system for headphones. This collaboration allows manufacturers using the Sonical platform to offer hearing safeguarding either as a standard feature or user option. The announcement was just one in a series of new partnerships for CosmOS confirmed during CanJam London 2024.

OIKLA, a London-based audio technology startup has announced Perception, a new audio hearing protection algorithm designed specifically for Remora PRO, the powerful wireless audio hardware platform that was unveiled at High End Munich 2024.
