Focal Announces New Lensys Professional Closed-Back Headphones

Focal has released a new closed-back professional headphone model. The new Lensys Professional headphones are designed specifically for professional studio applications, and with a US-suggested retail price of $699 USD they need to offer convincing arguments. The French company has been developing a range of unique innovations for its high end audio headphones, which are now applied in this latest professionals model.

Sound Semiconductor announced single and dual channel VCA additions to its product lineup, the ProCircuit SSI2161 and FatKeys SSI2162.The ICs are part of a family of affordable high-performance VCAs from the company, now offering a single, dual and quad versions. The SSI2164 offers four VCAs in a compact SOP package with lowest cost-per VCA, while the new SSI2162 is a versatile building block for high-performance audio applications, and the single-channel SSI2161 provides lowest noise.

Now solidly established as an annual tradition for the whole audio industry, and particularly for the professional audio sector, the International Audio Engineering Society Convention returns to New York City, October 16 – 19, at the Javits Center. Registration is now open, and as in previous years, the AES New York 2019 will be co-located with the independent NAB Show New York, open October 16-17 in an adjacent exhibition hall. AES New York registration includes access to both exhibition halls.
