AUDIX Unveils New OMX Series of Dynamic Handheld Mmicrophones

AUDIX revealed its latest OMX series of dynamic vocal microphones that will be officially launched at NAMM 2025. Comprising three models, this product family matches a handheld microphone to each of three common stage scenarios. The AUDIX OMX-E is a versatile choice for a range of mic distances and positions, while the OMX-M offers a mid-tight capture zone and subtle mid-high presence. The OMX-T microphone provides tight control and excellent isolation of vocals on loud stages.

In a refreshing announcement coming from QSC, the new KC12 “K Column” active 3-way column loudspeaker system builds on the legacy and reputation of the company’s World of K portfolio. The KC12 is a first-of-its-kind, 3000-watt active column loudspeaker system that surpasses the acoustic performance of conventional designs. Simple and easy to deploy, the elegant QSC KC12, available in black and white, is ideal for a wide range of applications from solo entertainers, musicians and bands, to DJs, corporate AV, and event production.

DPA Microphones, the recognized Danish manufacturer of high-quality condenser microphone solutions, has announced the acquisition of the majority share of Vienna-based Austrian Audio. Founded in 2017 by former AKG Vienna employees, Austrian Audio quickly created a global presence, offering a distinct range of large diaphragm and recording microphones that builds on AKG’s heritage and is completely complementary to DPA’s microphone portfolio.

Virscient, the engineering development house from New Zealand, has revealed a collaboration with renowned MIDI control manufacturer CME Pro to expand its existing wireless MIDI (WIDI) solution for electronic music creators. The product development result will be the first-ever product to feature LiveOnAir and will allow CME Pro to deliver an ultra-low latency wireless link with audio and MIDI, significantly expanding the creative possibilities for live performance.

NAMM (The National Association of Music Merchants), the largest global not-for-profit music trade organization, has announced its initial lineup of events and exhibits for The 2025 NAMM Show, taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center January 21–25, with events beginning on Tuesday, January 21.
