NTP Technology Joins Ravenna Audio-Over-IP Partner Community

Danish electronics manufacturer, NTP Technology, is the latest partner to join the Ravenna audio-over-IP community. NTP Technology has been developing high-quality, high-reliability, modular audio routing solutions for over three decades. With its brand DAD (Digital Audio Denmark), NTP provides audio interfaces for music recording, post-production, and live music applications. The announcement made at NAB 2025 follows the recent confirmation by Soundnet, a subsidiary of the Soundking Group, also as a member of the Ravenna community.

The 2025 NAB Show took place from April 5-9 (exhibits opened April 6) in Las Vegas, NV. The traditional gathering of content, media, and broadcast production hosted annually by the National Association of Broadcasters was once again a reenergizing showcase for all the professionals working on these always-evolving industries that traditionally have helped uphold the highest standards in quality of audio and image. But NAB 2025 was not business as usual.

Renowned for professional-grade microphones, Point Source Audio (PSA) unveiled a creator-friendly new over-ear lavalier microphone. The new Embrace Model EO-7, unveiled at NAB 2025, expands on PSA's catalog of broadcast and live performance solutions, offering the same patented earmounted design that ensures pickup stability, color-changeable skins, with a standard 3.5mm termination to connect to leading 2.4 GHz wireless systems used by streamers and content creators.

Sennheiser has launched the new MKH 8018, a compact stereo shotgun microphone designed for broadcasting and filming applications. Climate-proof and rugged, the MKH 8018 is a high-class short microphone that completes the company’s MKH 8000 range of RF condenser microphones, all of which excel in the field due to their ability to capture natural sound with virtually no off-axis coloration. Providing further flexibility, the lightweight MKH 8018 features three switchable stereo modes: MS stereo, wide XY stereo, and narrow XY stereo.

The Optimod FM audio processor is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025. 50 years ago, Orban shipped its first audio processor for FM radio broadcasting, the Optimod 8000, and it revolutionized the broadcasting business.
