STMicroelectronics' latest HFA80A automotive-grade analog-input class-D audio amplifier combines high efficiency, small size, and a low bill of materials, with load diagnostics optimized for automotive and native electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). With its feedback-before-filter topology and 2MHz nominal PWM frequency, the ST HFA80A lets designers optimize the output filter for the targeted performance and achieve a compact outline with small component values.

WiiM Announces WiiM Amp Integrated Streaming Amplifier and Multiroom Audio Streamer

From audio streamers, WiiM has now evolved to a complete integrated amplifier design that is able to power any classic passive speakers, and effortlessly stream any source wirelessly to the whole home. The new WiiM Amp merges a streamer with a TI 3255 Class-D audio amplifier and ESS Sabre premium 32-bit DAC. It offers a range of analog and digital inputs, including HDMI ARC and USB, supporting up to 24-bit/192kHz playback. The new WiiM Amp will be available in silver and space gray for $299 on Amazon.

Hifi components with wood panels are back! NAD Electronics is the latest audio manufacturer to embark on the retro trend with the C 3050 Stereophonic Amplifier. The classic seventies hifi component will be introduced at the 2023 High End show in Munich, Germany, where demonstration sessions of the C 3050 Stereophonic Amplifier will run in Room D108 in Atrium 3. Retro design elements include front-panel VU meters, push-button input controls, 1970s cursive branding, walnut-finished vinyl-clad cabinet, and a dark grey front panel.

As it did with the C 399 integrated amplifier, this new compact and modern solution renews the company's Classic Series with a powerful HybridDigital UcD amplification, 80-watts per channel and integral BluOS app interface. The C 700 suggested retail price is $1499 USD / €1499 EUR and will ship globally in late October 2021.

The other news is the launch of a brand new Class-D design for their newest amplifier, aptly called the Brooklyn AMP, following the same form factor of the Brooklyn DAC.
