Ideal for Audio Applications! Saelig Introduces USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Isolator For Electrical Isolation of USB Ports

Saelig has introduced the Alldaq ADQ-USB 3.0-ISO series of USB 3.0 isolators, which support the full USB 3.0 SuperSpeed data rate of 5Gbit/s. This allows USB 3.0 SuperSpeed devices to be electrically isolated from a host PC or other peripherals at full performance. The USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Isolator eliminates ground loops and ground potential differences and is ideal for measurement, industrial, automotive and audio technology applications.

At the AES show this year, Radial Engineering introduced the LX2 passive line splitter and attenuator, which allows to easily send a single audio source to two different destinations at once without noise, with the ability to attenuate the input signal and tame hot outputs from a mixing console or mic preamp. Also new is the LX3 passive line splitter model, designed to send one audio signal to as many as three destinations at once. Both units provide Jensen transformer-isolated line level splitting.

Switched mode circuits are increasingly being used today in electronic devices. Due to the rapid switching speeds found in these switched mode circuits, the probability of high frequency ground connection interferences is also becoming more prevalent. A correctly specified and placed ground choke, using Schurter’s range of power IEC modules with line filter and optional voltage selector (step switch), offers a simple and safe solution.
