Audio & Loudspeaker Technologies International (ALTI) Forced to Cancel ALTI-EXPO 2020

This announcement probably will not come as a surprise for anyone, but unfortunately the Audio & Loudspeaker Technologies International (ALTI) association was forced to confirm the cancelation of its ALTI Expo 2020 in Las Vegas, in light of the coronavirus pandemic evolution and the decision by AVIXA to also cancel the InfoComm 2020 show. Being an event with a very strong focus on education, ALTI will now focus on promoting the programed content through online events and publications, while other alternatives for networking are under consideration.

The audio test and measurement company grabbed the opportunity to join a world-class sound and acoustics growth hub in Struer, in the North of Denmark, together with other players such us Bang & Olufsen, GN Audio (Jabra) and Harman Lifestyle, among others. Sound Hub Denmark is located in an original red stone factory building with architecture dating back to 1946, and the former location of the Bang & Olufsen R&D department until 2018.

Sound Quality of Audio Systems: Modeling, Measurement & Control, is the title for the 2020 edition of the lecture presented by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Klippel. Already an annual tradition, this three-day event combines both theory and practice, and will take place March 9-11, 2020, at the Technical University Dresden, in Germany. Registrations for the lecture are now open for a fee for general admission, and are free for students.

148th AES Vienna 2020 Convention Officially Cancelled - AES Virtual Vienna Convention set for June 2–5, 2020

The Audio Engineering Society (AES) Vienna 2020 convention was cancelled. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the 148th Audio Engineering Society International Audio Convention scheduled for May 25 – 28 at the Austria Center Vienna will not take place. The AES Virtual Vienna Convention in now set for June 2–5, 2020, with an online format. AES Virtual Vienna will offer a program of sessions that will be broadcast throughout the 4 days, after which they will be available on-demand, available to all registrants.
