McIntosh Launches MX200 11.2 Channel Processor for Home Cinema

Luxury audio brand McIntosh Laboratory announced the new MX200 A/V Processor, with specifications to match the requirements of upscale home cinema system owners who like to keep their gear very prominently in sight. Merging cutting-edge technology with unmatched performance, the new MX200 offers up to 11.2 channels of signal processing and can adapt seamlessly to various home theater configurations, ranging from 5.1 all the way up to 7.2.4 surround sound speaker arrangements, with image support for 8K and HDR sources.

Since it was launched in October 2019, the McIntosh MX123 has become a popular audio and video processor for countless home theaters. It launched with 4K/60Hz compatibility, but as technology has progressed, the company now announced an 8K compatibility upgrade for the MX123 A/V Processor. The upgrade also introduces other enhanced HDMI video features, including expanded HDR and Dolby Vision support.
