Coastal Source Appoints Ravi Raghunandan as Chief Operating Officer

Strengthening its senior leadership team during a period of rapid growth and expansion, Coastal Source, the leading manufacturer and marketer of high performance outdoor audio and lighting solutions has named Ravi Raghunandan Chief Operating Officer. Raghunandan assumes responsibility for managing and overseeing areas such as Customer Experience/Technical Support, Supply Chain, Production & Warehouse, and Human Resources.

Underscoring its commitment to redefine all areas of the outdoor listening experience with truly high-end audio designs, Coastal Source announced the market introduction of CUBE, a high-quality down-firing outdoor subwoofer. As the New Jersey-based company explains, CUBE was designed to empower installers to create a truly unique three dimensional listening experience for their customers, with a design that is rugged enough to Defy the Elements.

Coastal Source, the innovative high-performance outdoor audio and lighting company from Moorestown, New Jersey, is now shipping its full line of hardscape Razor outdoor speakers. With a complete line of eight models, Coastal Source is now offering a complete solution for outdoor wall and hardscape speakers built with true hifi performance in mind. The patent-pending designs made its formal debut at CEDIA 2023 in Denver, where it received praised and multiple industry awards.

Coastal Source announced the appointment of 30-year industry veteran Jeff Poggi as President. The appointment marks the start of an accelerated growth strategy for the high-performance outdoor audio and lighting pioneer. Poggi previously worked with Harman and Bose, most recently served as Co-CEO of the McIntosh Group. With the appointment of Poggi as President, Coastal Source Co-Founder Franco D'Ascanio assumes the position of CEO, where he will continue to lead R&D efforts. Harold Zimmermann takes on the role of Chairman of the Board.

In its August 2020 edition, Voice Coil featured an article by experienced speaker designer Igor Levitsky, highly recognized in the industry for developing some of the best planar magnetic speaker and headphone drivers for some of the most reputed brands, focusing precisely on this type of technology. It seems clear that we will see more and more headphones and speakers using thin-film drivers, as the industry is now perfecting the use of different types of diaphragms and materials. CEDIA Expo is the annual show created by and for the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA), founded 20 years ago to advocate home technology, promoting training/certification, business, and the industry in general.
