Orchard Audio Introduces 500W Starkrimson Stereo Ultra GaN Hi-Fi Audio Amplifier

Following the enormous success of the original Starkrimson Mono amplifier, Orchard Audio is introducing the Starkrimson Stereo Ultra amplifier, using the same proprietary dual-feedback modulator and next-generation gallium nitride (GaN) transistors. The new Ultra amplifier design is the result of the work of the company's founder, Leonid (Leo) Ayzenshtat, and is able to deliver up to 500WRMS (1000WPEAK) of power and 20A of current while maintaining extremely low noise and distortion.

An All-JFET Amplifier: Exploring Modern JFETs Circuits

This article describes the design and performance of a high-quality DC-coupled all-JFET amplifier. The circuit was inspired by John Curl and Erno Borbely designs and was built with readily available junction-gate field-effect transistor (JFETs) from Linear Systems. The input stage is the the complementary JFET differential pair, the second stage is symmetrical differential amplifier with two pairs of opposite polarity JFETs, and the output stage is a complementary source follower. Powersoft Extends Free Warranty to Five Years on All Rack Amplifiers

Italian audio manufacturer Powersoft has announced a further 12-month warranty on their renowned rack amplifiers for all users who register their product for free on Powersoft’s online portal, MyPowersoft. This free extension brings the total warranty length, including the four years standard warranty, to five years. As of Monday, February 22, 2021, anyone buying Powersoft amplifiers on or after this date will need to register their product on MyPowersoft within 30 days of purchase to benefit from the extended extra year warranty.

Parasound Debuts Parasound ZoneMaster ZM 2 and ZM 4 Custom Installation Amplifiers

Parasound has added a pair of two-channel and four-channel power amplifiers to its ZoneMaster line for professional audio systems installers. The Parasound ZoneMaster ZM 2 and ZM 4 pack a lot of power into relatively small packages with each channel rated at 150 watts into the typical 4-ohm and 2-ohm loads of architectural speakers, and 120 watts for 8-ohm hi-fi speakers. In the hands of skilled installers, these amps can be used to resolve multi-zone design challenges and provide new opportunities.
