With the availability of low-cost, PC-based acoustic data acquisition systems, experienced hobbyists can make highly accurate loudspeaker frequency-response measurements without an anechoic chamber. The power of these systems comes at a price. These systems window the time-domain measurement to eliminate room reflections. This, in turn, limits low-frequency response. Biggest-Ever Integrated Systems Europe Returns to Amsterdam Again in 2019

Launched in 2004, ISE is the world’s largest tradeshow for the professional AV and electronic systems industry. ISE 2019 will take place from 5-8 February 2019 and is expected to draw over 1,300 exhibitors and more than 80,000 registered attendees to its Amsterdam RAI location. The Integrated Systems Europe event is a joint venture of AVIXA and CEDIA. Visitor registration is now opened for the biggest-ever ISE show, with increased floor space, an additional venue and an expanded conference program.

Celebrating decades of professional audio leadership in its 70th anniversary year, the Audio Engineering Society raised the bar yet again with its 145th International Convention, the place to be to celebrate and experience the past, present and future of audio engineering technologies and techniques. Contrary to typical event patterns, for the second year in a row in New York City, the Convention’s exhibition floor was still packed at closing time – the Jacob Javits Center staff had to plead for a cleared hall with attendees who did not want their experience to end.
