The acoustical design and consulting company, winner of multiple awards is now part of a larger engineering group, increasing resources and the services offered by RDA’s engineering practice. "As part of RDA, the SIA Acoustics team will strive to maintain the high level of attention, expertise, and constructive engagement that both SIA and RDA have always worked to achieve," the announcement states.

SiriusXM and Pandora Get Together to Create the Largest Audio Entertainment Company in US

Sirius XM Holdings and Pandora Media announced a definitive agreement under which SiriusXM will acquire Pandora in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $3.5 billion. The combination creates the largest audio entertainment company in the US (both services are only available in the US market), with more than $7 billion in expected pro-forma revenue in 2018 and strong, long-term growth opportunities. According to the announcement, both SiriusXM and Pandora brands, products, and services will continue independently.

The news was out for a while now, but now it's official. Loud Audio, the parent company of the Mackie brand, has concluded the sale of Eastern Acoustic Works to RCF Group with its headquarters in Reggio Emilia, Italy. LOUD's management has been gradually pulling apart the businesses it acquired in 2017. Now, it was EAW's time. With this acquisition, RCF gains a stronger foothold in the North-American market, while also gaining access to one of the strongest sound reinforcement technology portfolios in the industry.

But apart from microphones, Blue is also currently a contender in the headphone space, since it introduced its ambitious active Mo-Fi headphones using custom 50mm drivers, later also evolved into wireless models, addressing the lifestyle segment.
